MPACT serves students from all MPS High Schools in grades 10th  through 12th.  We offer core instruction in 11 majors.  Transportation is provided by MPS from the students zone school.


Students work in a simulated workplace environment, and attend one of three shifts while receiving their core courses at their zone school. A shift at MPACT is a 90 minute block of instruction. Students are scheduled by their zone school for MPACT which spans two elective periods.

Student Selection Criteria

Students entering the 10th, 11th and 12th grade during the upcoming school year are eligible for admittance to MPACT based on the following criteria:

1) Complete an application
2) Career Interest Inventory Assessment (Kuder)
3) Earned at least 4 high school credits from previous grade level (including Math, Science, English, Social Studies)
4) No more than one credit deficiency towards graduation

Admission Process

1) Student applications are reviewed for completeness
2) Student's records are reviewed for eligibility criteria
3) Interviews with the major instructors of programs selected will be held at the students zone school.
4) Selections will be made based on availability in the desired         major.

Submission of Applications

 (Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2020 - 2021 school year).

Applications are available in February for the following school year. 

Selected student will be notified by MPACT. They must return the "Intent to Attend" letter to MPACT ASAP.  Students and parents must attend one of three "New student orientations" held during the summer, and pay course fees($30 plus $20 program fees) prior to attending MPACT.  Students who fail to notify MPACT of their intent to attend, attend orientation, or not pay their fees will be moved to a wait list and another eligible student will move into their space. 

Criteria to remain an MPACT student

1) Maintain a 2.0 GPA in your major. 
2) Maintain satisfactory attendance (80%+).
3) Maintain good conduct in class and lab as a matter of safety.
